The
ability to manipulate glass in its various forms and to create a
thing of beauty has changed how I view my life and direct
my energy.
My area of comfort and formal training centers on structure, facts and
technical manuals. The
technical aspects of architectural stained-glass
and sand-carving fulfill my need for order; warm glass, however,
has allowed me to go beyond the conventional and time-honored
processes of the medium and into a new, uncharted and
wonderfully
unpredictable territory.
Eighteen years ago I found myself drawn into this world of glass,
fully
embracing the challenges and rewards; I have not been disappointed.
